Mande Van Lanen, BSW
Mande Van Lanen is beginning her first year as an intern with Hope Child and Family Counseling, Inc. She is currently attending Aurora University online pursuing her Masters in Social Work and Business Administration. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2009. She has been working alongside some of the staff over the past 8 years as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator, where she works with children from birth to three with developmental delays. She has also previously worked in the Rockford Public School District within Prevention Initiative for a year. Her additional experience includes: research assistant, psychological technician intern at a counseling center for children, and an instructor. She is a credentialed Service Coordinator through the Illinois Department of Human Services Part C and is trained in the Parents as Teachers Curriculum. She has a strong passion for working with people and has a strong passion for helping people. She prides herself on being relatable to other people and easy to talk to. She continues to enjoy learning about all aspects of therapy and work with infants, children, adolescents, and adults.
